At first glance, almost everyone I’ve shown this image to says something like wow those horses are beautiful. But to help lead you towards reality, I intentionally left one subtle clue – the seam in the mirror. After several hours, I was able to capture this Dapple Grey confronting its own reflection. By using symmetry and restraint, the photograph blurs the line between subject and mirror, transforming a portrait into a quiet meditation on identity, awareness, and perception. The work invites you to pause and question where presence ends and reflection begins.
